Ella was an invitee to Deena's (Mom's cousin) wedding this past weekend. Ella was excited about attending her first wedding ceremony. Dad, on the other hand, was a little apprehensive as he was unsure how he was going "maintain" a hyper Ella. You see, Mom was the matron of honor and provided Dad with strict orders to keep Miss Ella in check. For the most part, Ella behaved well during the ceremony. However, at one point, she did decide to commence the "singing" a bit prematurely....and it happened to be during the prayer. Dad's swift reaction to plug her mouth with a pacifier helped reduce Mom's piercing glare to nothing more than a raised eyebrow. Dad was relieved once the groom finally kissed the bride. He required ice to his neck, arms, and shoulders after battling a relentless Ella, who felt compelled to gawk at each attendee from every vantage point possible, whether it be on dad's shoulder, upside down on dad's shoulder, right-side up on dad’s head, or sideways on dad's chest.....well, you get the point.
In addition, Ella enjoyed her time at the post-ceremony reception. She had fun spending time with Mimi and Papaw B., and the plastic water bottle they possessed. She also enjoyed spilling grape juice on Dad's light-colored pants. Ella is probably close to 29 inches tall, but now has a wing-span of close to 8 feet.
