Price Family Soaks up the Fun

This past weekend Ella and Coltyn convinced Mom and Dad to escape from town and head east to Ohio’s Great Wolf Lodge water park. It was a welcomed excursion and a much needed break for everyone. Ella and Coltyn thoroughly exhausted themselves with all the activities the park offered. There were only a couple of activities they could not participate in due to age/height requirements. But for the most part, the entire park was their water world. Ella and Dad rode all but one water slide. Ella’s favorite was the “toilet bowel”, which was a slide that ended with a spiraling vortex. Coltyn, and Mom, also joined Ella and Dad for the family slide. Coltyn was very apprehensive at first, and his facial reaction throughout the slide was very “intense”. Mom and Dad are convinced he didn’t thoroughly enjoy the ride, and he politely declined when asked if he wanted to ride again.

However, since the lines to participate in the slides were rather long, most of the time was spent playing in the wave pond and lazy river. The kids were exhausted each night, and Ella even fell asleep at dinner. They enjoyed sleeping in their own cabin bunk beds, but ultimately each ended up in Mom and Dad’s bed by early morning. Some things never change, regardless of the location.
