This past weekend Coltyn progressed to the next chapter in his life, which is that of a 3 year old. Coltyn was blessed with many gifts, and among his favorites were SuperFriend’s underwear, a firefighter suit, a microphone, and keys to his new John Deere Gator. Mom and Dad quickly learned that Coltyn’s driving leaves a bit to be desired. Upon receiving the keys to his new ride, he proceeded to slam the accelerator pedal causing the back wheels to generate a nice little burnout. Once traction was obtained, Coltyn’s head whiplashed and he and car darted forward. Unaware how to stop, or steer for that matter, Coltyn plowed straight into/through Dad. Fortunately, Dad’s shins slowed the out of control vehicle. Coltyn enjoys “driving”; however, he is generally content with just sitting shotgun while Ella takes control of the wheel.
Coltyn also enjoys belting his favorite songs into his new microphone, courtesy of Uncle Buzz. The microphone can easily generate congratulatory applause with the press of a button. However, Coltyn only sings when applause is generated in the background. Evidently each performance is ground-breaking, and worthy of constant approval. As a result, listening to Coltyn sing is similar to that of a State of the Union address.
Happy Birthday, Coltyn. Congrats on turning 3. Mom and Dad are so proud of the little boy you’ve become.
