A Visit With Ole Saint Nick

This past weekend, both Ella and Coltyn felt it was necessary to arrange a quick visit with the man in red so they could be assured he knew exactly what they needed for Christmas this year. After all, according to Ella, there has been no other child who has been more deserving of gifts this year. Once they caught wind that Santa would be visiting the Indianapolis Zoo, Ella and Coltyn made the appropriate reservations to arrange the essential visit. After wandering the confines of the heavily decorated Zoo for a couple of hours, it was eventually time to directly speak with Santa.

Several anxious minutes transpired as the Price family patiently progressed through the rather long line at Santa’s workshop. As Mom and Dad expected, the novelty of visiting with Santa quickly wore off as it became their time to approach him. In a matter of seconds, extreme anticipation was replaced with extreme hesitation. Mom gently placed a bewildered Coltyn atop Santa’s lap. He struggled mightily to escape the white-gloved paws that restrained him. However, his attempts to return to Mom were futile. Dad had a more challenging time trying to affix Ella atop Santa’s lap. After a couple of failed attempts, he eventually succeeded, and Ella eventually succumbed to the inevitable. The visit with Santa was brief, as it became evident Ella and Coltyn’s cries were starting to scare the other children.
