Coltyn, as expected, was somewhat oblivious to the whole spectacle. He seemed more interested in “bulldozing” his way through opened/unopened packages. You see, Coltyn is shaping up to be somewhat of a bruiser. Just about everything in the form of an obstacle, is merely just a speed bump in his trailblazing path. He currently enjoys traversing staircases, over chairs, through Ella, etc. He’s definitely all boy, and Mom and Dad are already envisioning several, imminent trips to the ER.
Over the Holiday break, Mom celebrated another birthday. Nana baked a birthday cake, and outsourced the decorating tasks to Ella. As one would imagine, sprinkles were heavily used. While Papaw and Nana watched the kids, both Mom and Dad managed to escape to a movie and dinner. It was a fun day for Mom.
The Price family managed to escape the Holiday’s with only a minor injury. While performing some sort of new “dance”, Ella managed to lose her balance and “kiss” the end of a table. No stitches required, but according to Ella, “It bled a lot. And it was a bad table”. Ella banished the table to “timeout” (i.e. garage) for an indefinite period of time. Evidently, placing blame on a sedentary object, as opposed to accepting one’s own awkwardness, was the correct form of action. Mom and Dad simply think Ella’s actions are a proactive approach to reducing/eliminating future occurrences. For once, everyone is in agreement.
