Coltyn has done an excellent job at packing on the weight he lost in the days following his birth. A visit to the pediatrician on Monday confirmed he is only a couple of ounces from his original birth weight. Both he and Mom are doing great.

Coltyn is Nearly a Week Old
Coltyn will be 1 week old tomorrow, and appears to have settled in nicely at home. Ella has been everything an ideal big sister should be. Upon waking each morning, she will quickly dart into Coltyn's bedroom and greet him with a "Hello, Baby......Hello, Brother.....Hello, Coltyn". Generally, Ella is unwilling to let Coltyn awake on his own, so she will commonly shout, "Wake up, Baby" so that she can see his eyes glare upon her. It is in that moment she becomes content, and will let Coltyn return to peaceful slumber while she heads downstairs for breakfast.
