Eagerly Awaiting His Arrival

Well, it’s been a tough week for the Price family. Both Ella, and Mom, have battled their own respective illnesses this past week. Dad has been forced to contribute even more with both of his girls under the weather. It didn’t take long for Dad to appreciate Mom’s integral role in the family. Dad was only able to accomplish a fraction of what Mom is able to, even with her being 38 weeks pregnant. Dad is almost certain Ella noticed his deficiencies during this tough time, but refrained from mentioning anything in hopes of keeping his morale up, which Dad greatly appreciated.

On a lighter note, the nursery furniture for Baby #2 has arrived. Mom and Dad had ordered his furniture back in September, and eventually cancelled their original order after the company’s estimated delivery date had passed. Fortunately, they cancelled just in time as the company eventually filed for bankruptcy. Here are some of the preliminary pictures of the room. As you can see, drapes still need to be installed, as well as a more suitable lamp. In addition, Papaw carved some letters, as he did for Ella. Those still need to be hung over his bed.

For the most part, Mom and Dad seem to be ready for his delivery. Ella seems ready as well. However, the newly remodeled room, in her eyes, seems to be just an extension of her own. She commonly gathers his blankets and parades throughout the house as if they were her own. In addition, she seems to be rather rough with her babies as of late. Mom and Dad are both in agreement that it will probably be awhile before Ella gets some alone time w/ him upon his arrival.
