The countdown to Ella's visit with Santa is less than 6 days. Ella is preparing her list, and Dad is almost certain he will be asked to provide it to Santa. After watching the movie, "Shrek the Holidays", and seeing an "unpleasant" (albeit misrepresented) Santa tear apart a helpless ginger bread cookie, Dad thinks Ella will want to keep her distance from this "Bad Santa", as Ella would say.

6 Days and Counting....
Ella had an enjoyable weekend, and seems to be getting more and more into the Christmas spirit. On Saturday, Ella was invited to attend Mimi and Papaw's annual Christmas party. She enjoyed visiting with all of their friends, and being chased by Dad around the buffet table. Ella couldn't comprehend why she was unable to place her grubby little hands on all the hors d'oeuvres, nor did she understand why it was against party etiquette to lick the salt off a cracker and return it back to the buffet table. Ella has a lot to learn if she ever wants to throw her own party. However, the highlight of the party, for Ella, was the music. One of the guests played her guitar and sang Christmas songs. Ella sat adjacent to the musician most of the afternoon, and watched in amazement as she sang. Unfortunately, Ella was hoping for versions of "Wheels on the Bus" and "Itsy Bitsy Spider" to be sung. Evidently, those are not Holiday genre selections.

"Hmmm, I feel a draft in here. I thought for sure I shut the door....."
