Ella Moves Out (for the weekend)

Ella had decided it was time for a temporary change in scenery. So, she called up her Nana and asked if it wouldn't be too much of an imposition to spend Saturday and Sunday hanging out with her and Papaw P. Nana graciously obliged, of course. On Saturday night, they all went to Damon's for dinner. Uncle Adam also joined them. Ella, still haunted by the memory of the white-bearded, man in red (aka Santa Claus), was not overjoyed with their seating location at Damon's. At the table adjacent to theirs, sat a heavily bearded man and his wife. The couple were friendly, and on several occasions offered Ella a smile and wave. Ella did not reciprocate their repeated, friendly gestures. She did not trust this bearded man. Instead, she chose to return a constant, piercing, and very stoic glare. Eventually, the bearded man got the hint that this was not the occasion to make amends from their brief encounter last December, and departed the restaurant. It was a moral victory for Ella...

On Sunday, Ella attended church with Nana, and even met up with Uncle Tony and Aunt Andrea. She behaved nicely throughout most of the service, however, towards the end she asked if Uncle Tony could escort her out to the foyer area so she could run "wind-sprints" with he and Papaw. Later that afternoon, Ella attended a baby shower with Nana. Ella had a great weekend.
