Ella Steps Into the New Year...

Ella was extraordinarily close to walking over the Holiday break. She would take several unassisted steps before quickly scanning the separation that then existed between her upright body and the floor below. In that moment, she would panic, and retreat quickly to the safety of her tush. In the following weeks, Ella has become increasingly comfortable with walking and it has now become a preferred means of personal transportation.

Ella is excited about celebrating her first birthday next week. She reflects back on her first year with great pride in what she has accomplished. She expects her second year to be one of defiance and autonomy. Mom and Dad are prepared for the challenge....
