Ella learns the heartache of defeat…

All things considered, Ella had a pretty good week. On Halloween, Ella visited Nana and friends at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The IMS hosted a great “trick or treat” party for the extended families of IMS employees. Ella received plenty of candy and really enjoyed visiting with Nana and all of her co-workers.

Ella was a little “under the weather” in the days following Halloween. She battled a small fever and cold-like symptoms, but recovered quickly in time for the weekend. She watched the much anticipated Colts vs. Patriots game on Sunday with Papaw P., Uncle Adam, and Nana, while Mom and Dad attended the game with Uncle Tony and Aunt Andrea. Mom and Dad had a great time, even though the outcome wasn’t what they had hoped. Ella, on the other hand, is having a tough time dealing with her first Colts loss. She awoke several times throughout Sunday night, hoping the defeat was nothing more than an unpleasant dream. Nonetheless, she’s optimistic about the rest of the season.
