Ella celebrates Nana’s Birthday

Ella’s rapid progression towards walking continues. She has mastered the art of "shuffling" along the sofa, chairs, end-tables, etc. She’s now able to stand independently, albeit for only brief intervals. However, her primary means of transportation continues to be the crawl. The pace of her movement has quickened recently, which as you can imagine, now requires constant supervision from Mom and Dad. It doesn’t take long for Ella to traverse from the living room to Vu’s food bowl in the kitchen. It is there in which Ella gets a good laugh at watching Vu heavily guard her food. Ella doesn’t understand Vu’s paranoia, but seems content with watching and laughing from afar. This seems to work best for all parties.

Ella spent Saturday evening at Mimi and Papaw B’s. She had a great time feeding Papaw Cheerios. Ella’s philosophy seems to be that if she’s eating Cheerios, everyone else should be as fortunate. Thankfully, this isn’t the case with squash, or any other puréed vegetable for that matter. On Sunday, Ella took Nana out for lunch to celebrate her birthday. Ella wasn’t sure what gift to get Nana, so she chose the obvious....a bracelet/locket featuring several of Ella’s best poses. And the vanity continues....

"Here, Papaw, these Cheerios are good for you"
