Ella enjoyed her first Labor Day weekend, and the extended relaxation time it provided the family. On Friday, Mom, Dad, and Ella visited the Indianapolis Zoo. To be honest, Ella was not overjoyed with all the exotic animals. She could have cared less about the baby giraffe "showing-off" in the Plains area. In addition, the large jungle tiger that approached the viewing area and reared its large teeth didn't excite Ella too much either. However, the Gardens area was a hit for Ella. She enjoyed all the pretty flowers and the wild butterflies. It appears her love for gardening and all of its beauty is something she's genetically obtained from Great-Grandma Gladys.
On Saturday and Sunday, Ella watched Mom and Papaw B. engage in yet another Horse Show duel. Once again, Mom came up victorious as she won High-Point Color for the weekend while showing "Clue". Papaw did well, however not well enough to prevent him from having to shine Mom's cowboy boots and belt buckle yet again.
Also this weekend, we received Ella's 7-month pictures. Last weekend, we took Ella to a photo shoot that included a "live pond". Ella loved splashing in the water, and the resulting pictures seemed indicative of that. We found it difficult to limit several great poses to 2. However, we feel the pictures included below were the best.
Have a great Labor Day Weekend!
