Ella masters mobility...

For several weeks, Ella has been dangerously close to mastering the crawl. However, her attention span (or lack there of) has prevented her from initiating the required second knee movement. This past week, Ella successfully mastered that second knee movement, and thus, has been on the move ever since. Objects that once seemed unreachable are now obtained within a matter of seconds. Translation: Constant adult supervision is now required. Gone are the days where Mom or Dad could move to another room to answer the phone and expect to return and see a sedentary Ella. Now, Ella enjoys the following:

- Navigating to the fireplace to pull on the mesh screen. This results in the fireplace gravel going everywhere.
- Chasing Vu in an effort to put Vu's face, tail, and/or leg in her mouth.
- Navigating to the master remote control to adjust volume, color settings, slobber tolerance, etc. Yes, she's able to identify the master remote from 4 obsolete, battery-less remotes.

However, it's truly great to witness her progression. She’s acquired a new sense of independence, which she now demands we respect. Do we really have a choice?

Ella had fun this past weekend. She spent Friday night w/ her Nana while Mom and Dad went downtown to celebrate their anniversary. On Sunday, Uncle Tony and Aunt Andrea stopped by to watch the Colts game w/ Ella. Let this be known, Ella has yet to witness a Colts loss. We're not sure how she'll respond when/ if they do. Let's just hope she deals with Colts losses better than Dad...and her Nana for that matter.

We're certain these repeated postings of Ella sporting her Yankees gear will only trigger several Red Sox gifts from Uncle Adam. She will cry if she's forced to wear anything but Yankees gear....you don't want to see her cry, huh Adam?

Notice Vu keeping predators at bay....
