Weekend Getaway in Chicago

This past weekend the Price family ventured to the Windy City for a quick weekend getaway. They stayed downtown on Michigan Avenue, just south of all the shopping madness. Upon arrival, they walked to Millennium Park and gawked at all the interesting art pieces, including “The Bean”. After that, it was onto the magnificent mile to check out all the shopping. But first, they stopped at the Grand Lux Café for lunch. Fortunately, they just missed the crowds and were able to get seated w/out any wait. After visiting a few shops after lunch, the Price family returned to the hotel to hit the pool and spa. For dinner, they went to Lou Malnati’s for pizza. The next morning, they walked over to Shedd Aquarium. Ella and Coltyn clearly thought this was the highlight of the trip. They lucked out again as the crowds were very small for a weekend, and they were able to experience the entire aquarium w/ out any lines or waiting. Before departing for home they hit Hackney's Printers' Row for lunch. It was a nice way to cap off a great weekend.
