Fourth of July, 2011

Both Ella and Coltyn thoroughly enjoyed their extended holiday weekend. On Saturday, Mimi and Papaw visited and presented both Ella and Coltyn with some western gear in preparation for the upcoming World Palomino Horse show. Ella and Mom will be traveling to Tulsa, Oklahoma this year to participate. Ella is stoked, and equally excited about her opportunity to travel by airplane. Both Coltyn and Dad will remain at home and do their best to stay away from chores, and general cleanliness, while the girls are away.

On Sunday, the Price family ventured to Conner Prairie with the Mohr's and the Bork's to listen to the symphony, as well as witness the concluding firework show. Both kids were somewhat disenchanted with the symphony, and chose to play instead of listen. Unfortunately, those sitting adjacently were not amused with their horseplay. Fortunately, the fireworks show arrived just in time to captivate their attention. It was a fun night.

On Monday, the Price family attended the Carmel Fest parade with Nana and Papaw. Both Ella and Coltyn accumulated a large quantity of candy, and Coltyn got a few winks from the various parade princesses. It was a warm afternoon, but a great experience nonetheless.
