The Month that was October

Before Ella and Coltyn knew it, October had quickly passed. However, the month was not without plenty of exciting events to keep them fully entertained. Earlier in the month, Ella and Coltyn returned once again to Stoney Creek Farms in an effort to find that special pumpkin worthy of display on the front doorstep. They succeeded in their mission, and had a great time in the process.
Just prior to Halloween, Coltyn and Ella visited Nana, Papaw, Uncle Buzz, Uncle Toey, Aunt Andrea, and lil’ Tyler at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for their annual trick or treating special. Ella (aka Batgirl) and Coltyn (aka Pirate) collected an ample supply of treats that should sustain them for quite some time. On Saturday, they lent a helping hand to Papaw and Mimi on their horse farm. They played in the leaves in the “forest”, helped feed the horses, and even took the tractor out for a cruise. On Halloween, the kids took to the pavement around the neighborhood to gather even more candy for Dad, er, themselves. Yet again, their bags yielded a supply that should last through next year. Dad will most certainly need to assist in reducing the supply; it’s what any good Dad would do.
Here comes November….
