On Sunday, the kids hit the pool and watched the race. They were a bit disappointed the cars did not resemble their favorite characters in the movie, Cars. Evidently, the race was a bit too real for them. On Monday, they visited with Uncle Toey and Aunt Andrea after spending the afternoon at the Children’s Museum. Unlike past visits, the museum was unusually quiet, without many visitors. So, Ella and Coltyn were able to thoroughly enjoy each exhibit. They had a great time.

Memorial Day Weekend – 2010
Ella and Coltyn maximized the extended holiday weekend by ensuring there were plenty of activities to keep them occupied. On Saturday, they helped Papaw B. win Grand Champion at the New Castle Palomino Horse Show. Ella helped hold Clue while Papaw and Mom prepared the horse for competition. Ella was heard muttering a few assertive words for Clue when he started to fidget. Most notably she exclaimed, “Clue, quite farting around!” as she aggressively jerked on the reigns. Ella has already learned that the minutes leading up to a horse show are crucial for preparation, and not a time to be horsing around.
