The Price Family Occupation of East Coast

For the last several months, Mom and Dad used an incentive to leverage Ella into exhibiting good behavior. That incentive was “the beach”. Whenever Ella would begin behaving badly, Mom and Dad would state to Ella that if she continued this bad behavior, then should would not be eligible to go to the beach. This worked for the most part, and the time eventually came where Mom and Dad needed to fulfill their end of the bargain. So, over Labor Day weekend, the entire Price family (Mom, Dad, Ella, Coltyn, Nana, Papaw, Uncle Toey, and Aunt Andrea) trekked to the east coast for a long, and much overdue, vacation.

Beginning on Labor Day weekend, the Price family ventured to Roanoke, Virginia for the annual Interstate Church of God softball tournament. Ella would have to wait a few more days before she would have an opportunity to sun bathe on the beach. Dad and Uncle Toey’s team played well again this year, however, they were unable to repeat as champs. Instead, they placed 4th. However, it was a great weekend in support of a good cause, which is what matters most.

Following the softball tourney, the Price family proceeded to Hilton Head, SC. They all shared a 4 bedroom condo with all the amenities, right on the beach. Ella and Coltyn spent most of their waking hours digging in the sand and splashing in the ocean. The weather was absolutely perfect, and supported this repeated activity each and every day. Dad, Uncle Toey, and Papaw managed to slip away from the beach on one occasion to play golf at Harbour Town. Dad quickly realized the challenges of a PGA championship course, but had a great time nonetheless. Unfortunately, the week wasn’t quite long enough, but everyone had an amazing time and cannot wait until next year.
