Coltyn at 1 Month

Coltyn celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with a visit to the doctor's office for his 1 month checkup. After a thorough examination, Coltyn checked out just fine. His measurements are progressing right on schedule. He weighs nearly 10 pounds, and has grown an inch and half since birth. He was relieved to hear that no vaccination shots would be administered during this particular visit.

Ella continues to be a big help around the house, well, not really. In all honesty, she is the best diaper and wipe “retriever” in the house, but only when it’s convenient for her. Her problem is she's easily distracted. It’s not uncommon for her to walk to the diaper basket, only to be overwhelmed by something as miniscule as a commercial on TV. This ultimately results in the demise of her mission, and forces Mom and Dad to complete the task. However, Mom and Dad understand Ella is only 2 years old, and as a sign of advancing maturity, they recently promoted her to a seat at the “big table” (aka kitchen table). She’s no longer restricted to the confines of her infantile high-chair. Ella proudly welcomed this newfound recognition, and completely understands the responsibility it entails. Well, not really.
