Ella spent most of her vacation on the beach. She enjoyed the ocean, but didn't venture out very far. On several occasions, Ella did attempt to consume the sand. This resulted in her spending the next several minutes salivating in an effort to remove the grit from her mouth. However, after several days, she eventually learned that sand was not edible, even if it accumulated on a cracker she may have dropped on the beach.

Ella's First Family Vacation
Ella spent the past week working on her tan in Hilton Head, SC. She enjoyed the week off and the time it permitted her to spend with Mom and Dad. Both the drive to and from the coast were uneventful. Ella spent most of the time either sleeping or watching movies. She didn't seem to mind the long trip, which Mom and Dad pleasantly appreciated.
