This past week was packed with activities that kept both Ella and Coltyn fully entertained. Ella went to the cinema for the very first time, and watched Toy Story 3 with Dad and Nana. She barely made it through the initial 30 minutes of previews that accompany the feature presentation, but once the actual movie started she was completely immersed. The next day, the Price family escaped to Holland, Michigan for a bit of a vacation on Lake Michigan. Most of the time was spent playing on the beach, but one afternoon Ella and Coltyn visited a replica Dutch Village. They both rode rides, pet animals, and Ella even learned how to dance like the Dutch do.
On July 4th, Ella and Coltyn visited Conner Prairie to watch the symphony, followed by an impressive fireworks display. Also accompanying them were friends Hailey and Spencer. It was a great evening, and the excessive heat didn’t seem to affect them one bit. The next day, they watched the CarmelFest parade in downtown Carmel with Nana and Papaw. They collected an abundant supply of candy, which rivaled last Halloween. Ella enjoyed the dance and band groups, while Coltyn enjoyed getting the attention of Miss America 2009 as she drove by. It was a great way to end a spectacular week.
